I never set out to build a YouTube channel. I only meant to learn something new. God, as He so often does, had a bigger plan.

A trusted friend encouraged me to take up a new skill. I couldn't pick up a set of knitting needles, my hands wouldn't allow it, so I needed a different kind of creative outlet. Somewhere in that season, I felt God plant a seed. Along my own journey with social media I'd discovered how much I loved being creative, making little reels about my adventures, and that quiet enjoyment grew into a curiosity about learning to create and manage a YouTube channel.

So I did some research, taught myself the process, and through that upskilling adventure, Tiny Lamb Tales was created. I truly never intended to publish it. I just wanted to learn how it all worked. But then I had fun. I enjoyed it. And without my sharing it with a single soul, these little videos began to find an audience. The views came, then the subscribers, and I realised I'd stumbled into something I loved doing.

What I love most is creating Bible stories for children. It almost feels like a second chance to raise my voice as a mother to little ones, telling the old, beautiful stories to children between the ages of two and seven.

Something unexpected has come of it, too. I've had several close friends turn to the Bible and turn to Jesus, and funnily enough, this little children's channel has helped grown adults rediscover the traditional stories as well. More than a few friends have said to me, "I never knew that about Noah's Ark," or "I didn't understand why the rainbow was there." Stories made simple enough for a small child have a way of reaching the rest of us too.

It's become part of my missionary work, in a way I never could have planned. One of the prayers I pray daily over my family is the whole armour of God, from Ephesians chapter six. Many people read to the end of verse seventeen and stop there. I have a habit of reading the whole chapter, and the verses that follow have stayed with me.

And for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

That prayer, that words may be given to open my mouth boldly and make known the gospel, is exactly what Tiny Lamb Tales has become for me. A way to speak boldly when so much else was taken, and to share the good news with the very youngest, and quietly with the grown-ups too.

Tiny Lamb Tales has become my way of sharing the gospel.

If you'd like to support Tiny Lamb Tales

If this has touched your heart and you'd like to help, the kindest thing you can do is visit the channel and subscribe. If you have a moment, watch a video or two right through to the end. I've learned that the little algorithm pays attention when a video is watched all the way, so finishing one, and leaving a thumbs up, genuinely helps these stories reach more families.

And if you know little ones who'd enjoy them, please share. So many of our children spend time in front of a screen these days. If they're going to watch something, I'd love for it to be a gentle Bible story from a friend.
